Transmissions
When it comes to your transmission, the terms “repair,” “rebuild,” and “replace” DO NOT MEAN THE SAME THING. Technicians who work on your vehicle must understand how the transmission functions and, more critically, how to repair it when it fails. Sometimes this implies you need a new transmission, and sometimes it doesn’t. When a transmission problem arises, we will fix your vehicle in a cost-effective and timely manner.
Our specialists at Price’s are skilled at getting you back on the road and keeping you there. Experienced specialists will run a comprehensive diagnostic test on your engine and transmission, examining its condition. They will diagnose the issue, propose remedies, and devise a strategy to get you back on the road.
If repairing the transmission is not an option, Price’s provides entirely remanufactured transmissions as an alternative. A rebuilt transmission is not the same as a remanufactured transmission.
With a remanufactured transmission, all soft parts are replaced and all hard parts are inspected. Any damaged components are replaced in our factory setting.
Each remanufactured transmission also receives a new torque converter.
With a rebuilt transmission your cars original transmission is removed from your vehicle with only worn or damaged parts replaced.
